Personal Statement

I am a chartered clinical and counselling psychologist in private practice in Central London and Finchley, North London.  My approach to therapy is based on psychodynamic principles and theories. I incorporate CBT principles as and when appropriate.  Each individual is unique. I have extensive experience assessing and treating individuals in the private sector and the NHS having qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1984.  If medically insured, prospective service users can check with their insurers to see if their policies cover consultations with me.

In addition to working with clients face-to-face and on the telephone, I facilitate workshops and act in an advisory capacity to UK companies accessing mental health services. I have a special interest in assertiveness training and person-centred counselling skills training for health professionals, educators, and others working in the public sectors who use counselling as a primary or secondary part of their work.
